Minerva Duckett - Teacher

Minnie, as she is known to everyone at the school, came to us in May of 2005 from the Rising Star Academy in Oceanside. Minnie has taken child development classes both at Mira Costa College and an R.O.P. class in child development. Minnie loves children and has previous experience working with infants and toddlers at a childcare center.

Minnie is bi-lingual and each week she leads the children in singing and speaking in our Spanish class. Minnie is also in charge of our computer program for the preschool children. Minnie helps the younger children learn the basics of computer navigation and use of the mouse. As the children master those skills, she leads them into phonics, math, and other educational software. Minnie is current in her CPR and First Aid certification.

On weekends, Minnie and her husband Jason, love to take their daughter Carol camping and hiking. Minnie enjoys spending time with family and she is often taking pictures for her photo albums.
